Harley. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Tom Harley that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1956. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6704, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1930 and retired in June of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. Visible in the background are several other steam locomotives being serviced at the East Altoona Coaling Tipple. |
